ACEO / ATC

ACEOs and ATCs are like trading cards, but for art! Each card is handmade and unique - created by artists all over the world. These are rising in popularity, and the focus on handmade, personally created cards from real artists is incredibly refreshing after the rise in AI and soulless photo generation.

 

Let's start with a couple of definitions:

ACEO - Artist Cards, Editions and Origins

ATC - Artist Trading Cards

Both ACEOs and ATCs should be 2.5x3.5 inches in size, but aside from this, there are few rules in creating a card, and they can be in many different medias and styles, from drawings and paintings, to collage and embroidery. The thing that makes an ACEO different from an ATC is the way that the card is distributed. ATCs are exclusively traded, usually in a one-for-one ​​trade with another artist, and no money must change hands. Most ATC websites prohibit selling cards entirely. Whereas ACEOs are a way for non-artists to gather a collection of tiny art, and are sold usually at a specific rate or via auction.

Personally, my cards are available both for trade, and for sale. However, I am limiting my trades to only a few per month, as I am getting quite a few trade requests and want to make sure I am staying on top of everything!
